fan the flames in your own heart

I am at this incredible ashram in the mountains.  It is sunny and warm with light streaming in and people busily and happily moving from place to place.  I am walking on a dirt path that winds its way up the mountain.  Everything here is aesthetically lovely.  To my left there is a great central meeting place where food is prepared and shared.  There are communal living quarters for the families who stay and work all the time.  There are photos of mothers nursing and multigenerational images of families.  There is none of the spiritual pretense often oozing out of ashrams, everyone just is...in a very open and complete and uninhibited way.  I continue walking up the path and see small single room dwellings that are simply stunning, with beautiful tilings, large windows opening onto breathtaking vistas, pouring in sunshine and life.  I pass one room that is very small, with no running water, a small bed, a simple porcelain sink, carried water, a wooden counter top with open shelving beneath covered by a lovely linen curtain.  Beneath large windows there is a bookshelf.  Everything is beautiful and everything simply.  A woman lives here alone.  She is not very old, maybe fifty.  I have spoken to her before in a different dream.  She told me about the water that she carries daily and how most of the people who live here are very old and are living in this care facility.  That is where much of the money for the ashram comes from.  The elders are cared for in their final years through loving service.  I walk a little farther and see a couple in a larger room.  The man is in a lovely, snug bed perhaps dying.  The wife sits in a chair nearby breathing oxygen from a tank and looking out the window.  There is no sorrow, just the beauty of life.  There are many more dwellings.  All beautiful.  To my left a path narrows up the mountain.  I assume this is where you go for  "worship" though that isn't quite right because the whole place feels like worship.  People are walking around.  I get a feeling that Paramahansa's energy is in this place and Joel's and others.  I am now in the presence of a very wise female energy.  She explains to me that a soul/consciousness is very fortunate when the teacher arrives in awareness.  She describes it as falling deeply in love.  I told her that I wasn't sure I had experienced it in full.  She exuded so much love and knowing to me and said..."Yes you have experienced it many, many times. In your efforts to help others you give it away before it has a chance to grow.  You can trust this love in others to reach them from within and you can fan the flames in your own heart".  I saw Joel's smiling face and I woke up.
